Christmas?

I am trying to think of some fun things to do for Ava for Christmas.  Last year, she went on and on about her "baby cabinet" and was SOOO excited to find it under the tree.  I think she has played with it four times.  Then again, it's in her room and she prefers to play where we all are, rather than by herself.  I would like to be able to make her Cabbage Patch doll, Beba (yes, that's her name) some doll clothes and maybe make her some matching outfits?  I am feeling all crafty lately.  Her and I are working on a baby blanket for her daycare director's daughter (well, as soon as my machine quits being finicky).  I think I'm going to practice by altering a few onesies of hers that I have held onto and see if I can't get them to fit the Beebs.  Any suggestions?  Maybe a nightgown for Beba and Ava?  Should I embroider names on it?  I really want this Christmas to not be...as big as last year.  It was ridiculous last year and so many of her gifts are missing pieces or not even played with anymore.  I think if it's something I put some heart into, she would love it.  And, she loves her Beba!!!

We do 4 things- something you want, something you need, something you wear, and something you read. Santa will normally bring 1-2 things, and then I do something small for the stocking. The last couple of years, I've gotten boy a pair of pajamas as a Christmas tradition- something to wear. I have no idea what Santa will be bringing this year. What I'm trying to instill is when we bring something in, we pull something out. Boy has so many toys it's rediculous. Seriously.
I think the matching nighties is an adorable idea- no embroidery though, I think that looks wierd. How crafty do you want to be? Matching bedding for them would be adorable. :) I think pillowcase dresses are adorable. I think matching clothes in general would be awesome. But I'm a total dork like that. I actually just got the American Girl Holiday Catalog, which gave me all sorts of inspiration! :)
