Yesterday, before I left for work, I grabbed the stack of bills on my bookshelf in our room and shoved them in my purse. I figured I would probably have some down-time at work, so I could work on bill paying then. (Fun, huh?) Anyway, I was correct and begin opening them to see what the damage is. I see DH's car payment envelope, but I thought to myself..."hmm, that's a different font than normal". (Yes, I notice these things.) So, I open it up, thinking it's a letter about whatever. WELL. The letter (summarized) states "thank you for using Toyota Financial for your auto loan...we have received your final payment...your car is paid in full...attached is the title of your car..." Uh, what? I thought we still had a good 1/2 a year on this? Paid in full? I called DH and after he got home he checked the account online. Sure enough, it's paid in full. He said after he paid his last payment, there was about 1500 left to pay...we have no idea how this happened, but WOW!!!! CAR PAID OFF!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, our luck has taken a sudden turn for the MUCH BETTER. I can't believe it. After all these years of bad luck and struggling, things are changing. On the way here this morning, I was listening to Relevant Radio (Catholic talk radio). I pulled into the parking lot and took a moment to thank the Lord for the recent good things, the beautiful day we are having today, and most importantly, a healthy child. (I usually find myself thanking Him for that...I know how important that is.)
I hope your day finds you happy and thankful. :)
