YAY!

Yesterday was my seven-year wedding anniversary.  We made it this far!!!  YES!!!!  I'm at work, so I don't have any fun pictures to post.  We had a low-key night (because our anniversary fell on a Monday) and just went to Olive Garden for dinner.  I know what you are thinking…”Olive Garden?!  Really?!  How lame.”  But, we never go to OG…EVER.  I think it’s been about 4 years since I’ve been there.  The Girl desperately wanted to be a part of our anniversary so we wanted a kid-friendly place.  We also didn’t want to go somewhere that we frequent too often – you know…shake things up!  It was, surprisingly, very good!!

Otherwise, it was a typical Monday.  We didn’t do gifts or even cards as the money is a factor.  Plus, we are saving to buy new mattresses, so I guess that is our present eventually.  J

Either way…even though we have had some VERY rough times throughout our marriage, I would still walk down that aisle and marry him all over again.  He makes me laugh.  J  We were discussing our favorite moments together besides the obvious ones (having a baby, duh).  Usually, it involved us doing stupid or clumsy things, but they were memorable moments.

Joe, even though you don’t read my blog (or even know if it exists) I love you so much.  Thank you for being by my side all these years.  Thank you for putting up with my bullshit.  Thank you for choosing to marry me all those years ago and still loving me today.  I know we are past that googly-eyed honeymoon phase and have slipped into our “lives”, but I still get excited to see you.  Even driving home from work, I get excited to see you.  It reminds me of those four and a half hour drives we did while dating just to see each other.  I love you and here’s to many, many more years together.  Someday, we will get our front porch with our rocking chairs and be able to watch sunsets together…someday… J
