Weekend

This weekend, we went to "down south" to visit my family.  It was just The Girl and I, as Husband had to work.  We ended up getting a hotel (or "show and tell" per The Girl) on Friday night, as I was getting tired.  I figured with over 100 miles to go, it would probably be safer to do that than keep driving.  Anyway, on the way down, one of my favorite sites is this:

While down there, I developed a fever Saturday night.  (BLECH)  Stupid Crohn's Disease.  My stomach was giving me problems all weekend, too.  But, we still had a good "girl's trip".  :)

The Girl in funny glasses.

On the way home last night, we were hungry and wanted dinner.  I am so sick of fast food, and The Girl was all gung-ho about having ham, so we went to Cracker Barrel.  It's funny ordering a ham dinner off the adult menu for a three year old.  But, she has some nice left-overs for her lunch today!

I love me some beautiful sunsets.  I wish I had a better camera other than my phone to take this picture, because it does NOT do the sunset justice at all.

All in all, other than being sick and not feeling well most of the weekend, we had a great time.  I am so homesick for that area.  I miss my family like gangbusters, too.  I really, really, really want to move back.
