So, I thought after the Haiti disaster that a way I could help out was to organize a blood drive at work. My company has about 100 employees, so it could give a pretty decent amount. Well, today the official announcement went out (including me placing flyers on each employees desk about it)...and I have to say...I'm really disappointed in people right now. I, personally cannot give blood due to the medications that I take. That's one of the reasons I decided to organize this - this is my way of helping out. I received an email from this too-skinny girl in my office stating she couldn't give blood because she doesn't meet the weight requirements. Then, she has the gall to sign it "Love". Fuck off you skinny bitch. I don't need your effing excuses. Just don't sign up then. Then, while I'm passing out the fliers, I get "they don't want my blood, it's not right" or "ew, I broke out in a rash the last time" or "I HATE NEEDLES!!!!" You know what? I'm not your personal doctor, I'm not the one doing the health history, and this isn't a high-pressure situation. Just accept the flyer and move on. Read the email and quietly delete it. I don't want to hear your fucking excuses - JUST DON'T DONATE.
I guess it just aggravates me that there are always people who have to be such downers in every situation. They have an excuse for EVERYTHING - but these will be the same people who, on the day of, will be lurking around the juice and cookies. So, help me God if any of these snatches takes a cookie...
I may have to choke a bitch...

I think that if I were told about an event like this that you had organized, I would feel the need to explain to you that I actually really do WANT to donate but am anemic and can't. Just the same way you felt the need to tell us here that you want to but can't due to medicines. I don't think these people were trying to be rude, but in fact were trying to do the opposite of that and explain why they can't help you with the great thing you've organized! Hope that makes sense and doesn't sound bitter in any way.
