So, now I find out people in the company are talking shit about the blood drive. How "stupid it is to hold it at work, what if someone passes out?" Fuck you all. I hope you need blood someday and realize what an ass you are.
I'm sorry! :( I know for me, I've needed blood, I have liquid gold in my veins (AB-), but I can't do it. I HATE needles, and I hate nurses who can't find veins immediately. So for me, it's more of a fear thing. And, I know I was anemic for at least a year prior to my surgery. So I'm just getting into the timeframe where I can donate. Thank you for the reminder though- I need to look into it!
I used to hate needles, too. But, with the stuff my body has pulled on me over the last few years, I had to quickly get over that. If I could donate, I totally would. They won't take my blood though since I am on Coumadin. If you CAN donate, though you should, Cheryl! It's a great feeling! :)
I've tried a ton of times, but I'm very anemic (runs in my family) and they just won't let me. :-( I think I'm O something. Maybe O+, but I'm not sure.
